How it Ships
Materials
The Pela Case is made of Flaxstic®, which is comprised of compostable bioplastic elastomer and flax straw materials. Our material has been tested to be safe and free of phthalates, BPA, cadmium and lead and is verified to meet child safety standards in the U.S., Canada, Europe, Australia and New Zealand. Our base material meets U.S. (ASTM D6400-04) and E.U. (EN 13432) standards for composting in an industrial composting facility and has a lower carbon footprint and lower greenhouse gas emissions than traditional plastic. It can also be left to compost in a home composting environment.

I hesitated to buy a Pela because they’re a lot more expensive than the cheap clear plastic cases I have been using. I really liked the ability to compost it once its life is over, and my case was disgusting, so gave it a try. This case feels so good in my hand that I won’t be buying any other cases, ever. It makes holding the phone much more pleasant, it’s so easy to get on and off (great for cleaning), and I love the pattern. Great product, massively exceeded my expectations, responsibly packed.
