How it Ships
Materials
The Pela Case is made of Flaxstic®, which is comprised of compostable bioplastic elastomer and flax straw materials. Our material has been tested to be safe and free of phthalates, BPA, cadmium and lead and is verified to meet child safety standards in the U.S., Canada, Europe, Australia and New Zealand. Our base material meets U.S. (ASTM D6400-04) and E.U. (EN 13432) standards for composting in an industrial composting facility and has a lower carbon footprint and lower greenhouse gas emissions than traditional plastic. It can also be left to compost in a home composting environment.

This is my 2nd pela case and it is as wonderful as the first one. I like the design and that my phone feels safe in my hand and not slippery. Little minus is that unfortunately it was send from Canada to Germany even though it said it would be shipped from the German warehouse - not so good for the carbon footprint. Hope to have it again for a long time :)

case fits great! Nice softness/hardness ratio. Surprised at how small the Canopy bottle is, but so far so good on one phone.

The case is rubbery enough to protect the phone when dropped accidentally. The color is very interesting & reminds me of the ocean with flecks of Sargassum. Great that there is a donation to the oceans & the environment with the purchase.

Same case for 3 years!
I bought this case summer 2018 and it finally has broken to the point where I need a new one now in spring 2021. Only in the past 6 months the thin strips in front of the charging port, Bixby, and power button have snapped due to 3 years of consistent use. The back has slowly been worn down by using it over the years but there is no obvious wear on the case I can just tell from the increased texture of the small tan specks as the green part gets worn down. Awesome case that I was surprised did not disintegrate through the years, only getting a new one because I ripped the side open sitting against something metal. Not a heavy duty case though, it has the strength of thin rubber so it can be torn pretty easily if its scraped against something hard like i did.
