What inspired you to take part in our Artist Collaboration Program?
The opportunity to design a biodegradable phone case was just too awesome to pass up! I do my best to keep my business as eco-friendly as I can, so getting to collaborate with a company that has the same goals is always great.
Tell us about your level of environmental practices in your home, community etc?
We are doing our best to leave as small of a trace as we can, especially living where we do out in the woods. Composting, bringing our own containers and utensils when we get food to-go, thrifting and fixing what we already have instead of buying things new all of the time - there are so many things to consider when trying to live zero-waste but these are the big ones that I do my best to practice daily.
Why do you think it's important to be environmentally friendly today?
Simple - this is not only our home, but home to millions of other creatures. Keeping our planet happy and healthy should be everyone's top priority so we can all thrive cohesively.
Where did the inspiration come for the case you designed?
I wanted to portray a strong and beautiful elephant thriving in lush jungles - as they should be left alone to do so.
What is one thing you do in your life, that makes a positive impact on the environment?
Just simply thinking about the trace that I'm leaving behind everyday, and doing my best to make it as small as possible.
What suggestion would you give to someone who wanted to live more 'green' but overwhelmed on how?
Start simple. Don't be too hard on yourself. And do your own research. Educate yourself on the things you care about most!
