Materials

The Pela Case is made of Flaxstic®, which is comprised of compostable bioplastic elastomer and flax straw materials. Our material has been tested to be safe and free of phthalates, BPA, cadmium and lead and is verified to meet child safety standards in the U.S., Canada, Europe, Australia and New Zealand.

Our base material meets U.S. (ASTM D6400-04) and E.U. (EN 13432) standards for composting in an industrial composting facility and has a lower carbon footprint and lower greenhouse gas emissions than traditional plastic. It can also be left to compost in a home composting environment.

Our Case Design

Meticulously designed to protect your phone from drops and scratches as well as any traditional plastic case. Precision cuts around speakers, charger, volume and power buttons.

Love it!
I love my shrooms & blooms Pela case so much. It's so soft and comfortable to hold and not at all slippery in my clumsy fingers. I also LOVE that it came in minimal packaging with the option to send the envelope back with my old phone cases to recycle! The only small downside is that my pattern has a slight misprint error and blurs the pattern a little at the top. I also think the colours were slightly more faded in the actual case than what was shown on the website photos. I would still order from Pela again though.
